  Description

Brembo SuperSport Brake Discs Set, 2 Front Racing Disks, One Left + One Right Disk.

During braking the disc has to dissipate the kinetic energy of the motorcycle, which is normally a result of the conversion into heat, which is provoked by the friction between the pads and the disc itself. This is a pure racing part.

Therefore, the latter is affected by a thermomechanic force (heat + force) that the disc naturally holds out without getting deformed.

Every disc has its own inertia (i.e. the tendency of a body not to modify its motion status, so that the higher the inertia, the harder it will be to change the motion of a body), which depends on the weight and the external diameter of the disc and it could also be defined an index of the “difficulty” to move the axle rotation of the disc (the so-called gyroscopic effect).
In practice, the inertia affects the speed when shifting directions. It is necessary to take all these points into consideration when designing a new disco. The best performance is achieved when the disc is lighter and more resistant.

BREMBO RACING SUPERSPORT 5,5-mm discs are fully interchangeable with the original discs and they are designed to fit to the OE calipers as well as with BREMBO Racing.

These are floating discs made up of a brake rotor in thermically-treated martensitic stainless steel (capable to stand any thermomechanic strain) and of an CNC alloy-aluminium bell. The 2 parts are connected to each other using 10 bushings.

These discs are used by many Top Level Teams competing in worldwide SuperSport events.

Price is for TWO Front Discs.

The images shown inside this page are the generic images that Brembo uses in its catalog / website to advertise the SuperSport disc line, the disc on sale will reflect the specifications of the SuperSport line and will have specific shape and fixing holes for the bikes listed as compatible. .

FAQ: This disc is 5.5mm, my standard is 5mm, so it is fair to say that lasts longer than standard disc or a than a Brembo Serie Oro? A: These are Racing Discs = for Track use only = Not For Highway USE = Pure Sports, so far not for long mileage. Although the Rotor (steel where pads work) is thicker than the standard, this kind of disc cover shorter mileage. This is due to the wear of the bell and the floating bushes, which by floating consume themselves and the bell itself. Also bushes can not be restored because the new bushes would have an excessive play on the bell. Finally, using the disc on straights or highway, or under conditions in which the pad does not work on the disc, the disc is quite noisy because of the fully floating. For Road / Long Mileage Uses we always recommend Brembo Serie Oro Discs.

  Customer Questions & Answers
Question:
Will the brembo supersport discs for ducati 1199 work in conjunction with brembo rcs 17 master cylinder? The instructions of the rcs 17 say not to use with floating discs, so I'm unsure.Thank you!
July / 02 / 2015
Answer:
Read again the 17RCS page... we write not to use with "Floating Calipers" . These disks will work fine with 17RCS.

Question:
I am upgrading my brakes on a 2016 Panigale 1299 - Use is track with some road ridingAm I best going for HPK discs or Serie Oro ? Also I have just bought a 19 RCS brake master cylinder from you ,is this is the best option for my 1299? I think it is ? I also bought Brembo SC brake pads from you-believe they are best for track and road riding
December / 15 / 2016
Answer:
For sure HPK discs are the best choice for track, during road riding as far they are full floating they are noisy. 19 RCS and SC compound are a good solution for both track and road riding

Question:
Can this brake be mounted on an 1198 s with DTC?Does the DTC work?
April / 18 / 2017
Answer:
No: It is not compatible with DTC system because has no magnetic pins. It is compatible only with ABS pole wheel. All the motorcycles having magnets on bushes won't be able to use ABS or DTC.

Question:
My customer model is Streetfighter 1098 S 2010 DTC .1. Part Number: 208B85911 (34mm braking rotor, 5,5mm thickness, dim 330x72 mm, compatible with oem ABS pole wheel, and DTC system) I want to ask if this model can be used on the Streetfighter 1098 S.
March / 26 / 2019
Answer:
Streetfighter DCT works with magnetic pins, this disk works with pole wheel, therefore if you install this disk on Streetfighter you will loose ABS and DCT.

Question:
Will the Brembo T-Drive or these SuperSport rotors have better performance for racing and track riding?
May / 31 / 2022
Answer:
Better than ? Better than Stock ? Sure, completly different

Question:
Hi, are these discs direct raplacement for stock discs of panigale v4s 2021? I would also like to ask if the mounting bolts (x10 for 2 discs) come together? Thanks.
November / 15 / 2022
Answer:
Yes, They are plug and play. Bolts are not included, you can use stock bolts.

Question:
The super sports rotor looks like 330x72mm with a thickness of 5.5 with the t-drive, is the performance the same? Is the t-drive better? Or is the new T-drive because the performance is the same, and Super Sports has been discontinued?
June / 10 / 2023
Answer:
T-Drive is the Brembo state of the art disc, floats with "T" "bushes". Supersport use standard bushes to float. Both are 5.5mm, and both are 5.5mm. The performance in braking is very close.
