With the TNT method we can show you how to obtain an uniform temperature on the tyre in only 30 minutes.
The innovative and patented method consists in weaving a special heating cable every 5 mm on a material with an high thermo-conductive power.
Capit doubled the heating cable inside. Here you can download an interesting video, where TNT and thermostat warming are compared: TNT is uniform and works at 85 Celsius degrees without over heating, while thermostat rise up and down.

  • Why Tyrewarmers are useful ?
    After 3 laps your grip improves because the tyres get warmer. A tyrewarmer gives you this advantage from the first lap, so that you don’t risk a fall when you run the first turns.
  • Where are Capit Tyrewarmers manufactured ?
    They are 100% MADE in Italy, in the city of Milan.
  • What are the advantages of the Capit tyrewarmers compared to cheaper, imported tyrewarmers ?
    - The internal heating cable is in PTFE, very strong and practically eternal.
    It’s unique in its genre: almost other manufacturers use silicone heating cables, which are cheaper and more fragile. The average lifetime/life span of a teflon cable is 10 times longer than the one of silicon cables. Think of heating a silicone product 10 times every day in a microwave. Now think of doing the same with a teflon product.
    - Moreover: All Capit tyrewarmers use the TNT technology (therefore without a thermostat). There are no electronic or mechanical devices inside. It’s a natural temperature adjustment. The characteristics of the temperature limiters (thermostats or thermal fuses) are subject to change over the time and they break easily, despite the fact that their calibration becomes imprecise (a temperature loss phenomenon typical of other tyrewarmers).   • How long must the tyrewarmer sit on the tyre ?
    If you don’t have much time 40 minutes are enough, but if you want the rim to be well heated you have to wait at least 60 minutes.
  • But if the tyrewarmer sit on the tyre for more than 60 minutes, will it damage the tyre ?
    The tyre experts suggest that it’s better not to overdo – after 4 hours you risk to jeopardize the tyres’ and the tyrewarmers’ performance.
  • How much electricity does a pair of tyrewarmers consume ?
    Capit tyrewarmers have the best POWER USAGE / PERFORMANCE ratio.
    With approx. 650W a pair of tyrewarmers reach 80°C in a shorter time compared to other 1000W tyrewarmers. This because Capit heating cable is double as long as in the tyrewarmers manufactured by our competitors. 1 KW generators are more than enough.
  • Can I use the tyrewarmers also on other tyres (non-slick) ?
    There are no contraindications whatsoever. They can be used on any kind of tyre, from the minibike to the car.
  • How should I clean the tyrewarmers ?
    With any aggressive detergent, as far as it’s not corrosive.
  • Is it possible that the Capit with the plug connector have 2 different temperatures, front and rear?
    No, TNT means tyrewarmers without thermostat, their temperature is one, stable and self-adjusting. Therefore the temperatures are not calibrated differently by a “temperature limiter” – they are set by the 230 voltage.
  • How do I know when tyrewarmers with the plug connector reach 85ºC ?
    If you don’t have a thermometer (laser or sensor) you have to calculate the time elapsed and feel with your hand if they are very warm. It is not recommended to stick your hand between the tyrewarmer and the tyre during operation – you can just put your hand on its external side and feel if it’s well heated.
  • Can I wet the tyrewarmers? Can I wash them ?
    Yes, for sure. The Capit tyrewarmers are 100% waterproof, both inside and outside. They contain no electronic components. Thanks to their practicality and strength they can stand any kind of washing.
  • If I cut, rip or burn the tyrewarmers, what shall I do ?
    If they don’t show big external burns (for ex tyrewarmers have touched incandescent pipes), Capit can repair any kind of damage .

Question:  Which version would be the best for the Ducati Superbike range? I'm led to believe a special version is required for Ducati's as the exhaust gases may effect the wear and tear of the tyre warmer itself. I currently own a Ducati 848, in mid 2010 i shall upgrade to a 1198S, would the same size tyre warmer fit both wheel diameters or will i need to purchase a newer size? Answer:  Capit produces the "Fire" version which uses a special fabric. This fabric let this warmers to be installed where exhaust pipes are very close to the tire
