Alu 7075 T6 bolts and nuts born to lighten (weights 1/4 steel) but they're as well appreciated as a form of make-up tuning.

Aluminum bolts are used where tightening torque and mechanical stress are not so high, such as fairing, engine side covers, shields..

Use titanium bolts for footpegs, for engine brackets, for brake disks, so where there is an high stress.

How choose the right bolt?

First choose the right Shape (select from Linked Products List):

  • E001 = socket head cap bolts, with E004 is the classical bolt to use on mechanical parts such as engine covers.
  • E002 = button head bolts, with E003 is the most common bolt, to use everywhere, typical is to fix screen on fairing (measure M5x15).
  • E003 = large button head bolts, with E002 is the most common bolt, to use everywhere, typical is to fix fairing (measure M6x20).
  • E004 = hex-head flange bolts, with E001 is the classical bolt to use on mechanical parts such as engine covers.
  • E005 = countersunk head bolts, M4 or M5 is the most used diameter.
  • E011 = self-locking nut, it is the most common nut
  • E015 = nut, not used
  • E016 = cap nut, used only in M6

Then choose the diameter (select from Linked Products List):

  • M4 = 4 millimeter diameter
  • M5 = 5 millimeter diameter
  • M6 = 6 millimeter diameter
  • M8 = 8 millimeter diameter
  • M10 = 10 millimeter diameter
    bolts have two versions: M10 x 1.25 for E004, and M10 x 1.50 for E001;
    the difference is the bolt pitch, it could be different as where as placed (please measure bolt you are going to replace)

Choose length (only bolts) (select from Linked Products List):

  • Length has to be calculated head excluded, therefore only bolt shank.
